Alexandra Vanegas’s firm commitment to community, empathy, celebrating diversity and living a life in which joy is her resistance, is born of a varied foundation in development, fundraising, marketing and stewardship. Alex, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, sees her role as Ellenhorn’s senior human resources manager as a natural and meaningful evolution of her career, and is deeply committed to supporting the employee life cycle with a hospitable, energetic and personable approach grounded in respect and delivered with both professionalism and humor. Alex values connection above all else and believes that people do their best when they feel seen and supported.

Alex’s passion for volunteering and giving back to the community reflects her belief that humanity begins with each of us. She considers herself a “community curator,” and has created various groups in the Boston area dedicated to bringing people together through shared interests, a spirit of fun, and fostering an inclusive culture rooted in kindness, radical hospitality and genuine care for others.
