Julie Rose, BSN, RN

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Julie began her career as a registered nurse at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass., where she worked in the Dissociative Disorders and Trauma Inpatient Program with adults who live with the adverse effects of trauma and abuse. Julie is highly attuned to the needs of trauma survivors and highlights the importance of focusing on overall psychological health and individualized functioning. In her time at McLean, she gained invaluable experience working with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, dissociation and personality disorders. Most recently, Julie worked on an adolescent inpatient unit for Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Mass., where she cared for individuals between the ages of 13 and 17 who were struggling with a wide range of mental disorders, including psychotic disorders, and was afforded the opportunity to care for those in acute distress and teach emotional regulation, mindfulness and various distress-tolerance strategies. Julie has been trained in collaborative and proactive solutions, and is passionate and enthusiastic about mental health. She works diligently to provide a safe, transparent and trusting atmosphere for each of her clients, and encourages client empowerment and choice. Julie wholeheartedly believes in directly involving individuals in their care in order to work together to achieve common treatment goals and successful patient outcomes.
